The Roads to Wealth

I recently read an article publish by Brian Tracy that stated there are only five roads to financial success starting with nothing in America.

* Inherit it.
* Become a professional such as a doctor, lawyer, architect or an accountant.
* Develop into a senior executive of a large corporation.
* Win the money.
* Start your own business and earn it all by yourself.

Well apparently, 10% of the people achieve success by an inheritance. However, he says that number is decreasing each year. Becoming a professional requires a tremendous amount of education, hard work, perseverance and dedication. There is not a thing wrong with those qualities and each profession can be very admirable occupations. Nevertheless, they will not guarantee wealth. We have all heard of the countless executives these days that have been paid millions for occupying their positions. Getting to that point may be a once in a lifetime chance. The odds seem considerable though. Winning the money accounts for a small number and might be more luck than anything else. The author recommends that an individual’s greatest possibility in becoming wealthy is to own a business that is theirs. He writes, “If you have the ability to start your own business and you don't do it, you are a fool”.

So there you have it. The five ways to become wealthy in America according to Brian Tracy! Is one of them yours? If not, that’s fine too because I believe that wealth won’t buy you one extra day of life, an extra moment of happiness or an extra ounce of love.
