Odd things in your Travels
The other day I was traveling home from an interview. As I journeyed down the highway the traffic started to slow up or maybe down. Anyway each vehicle ahead of me started to go around the slow moving vehicle up ahead. When it became my turn I realized what the hold up was that caused the slower pace. It was an Amish buggy. Now ordinarily that would not be unusual for the area that I was traveling. However, the oddity was that the buggy was pulling a trailer that had a row boat on it.
It was just too funny to try and remember so I had to call the wife and tell her about it. We both had a good laugh and I'm sure we both wondered if they were going to actually use it down the road somewhere.
From everything I have learned about the Amish community and people it just seems odd that they would take time to pull a row boat to a lake and actually go fishing. Their life appears to always be filled with work, work, sleep, eating, church on Sunday and then more work. But, after seeing that site on the way home I may never look at the Amish people the same way again.

That ranks with but doesn't top the Amish lady in line in front of me at the Goshen Aldis with several boxes of microwave popcorn.
It might have if the boat was a Ski Nautique.:p
